Tieke Railway has supplied a batch of ore container flat wagons designed for operation on 1000mm gauge railways in South America. The wagons are built in strict compliance with AAR standards and meet the railway clearance requirements of the destination South American country, providing an efficient and reliable solution for containerized ore transport.
The container flat wagon is suitable for running on 1000mm gauge lines, and its vehicle clearance complies with the railway clearance standard of the South American destination country.

The wagon consists of an underframe, container locking devices, coupler and draft gear, braking system and bogies.
The underframe is an all-welded steel structure composed of center sill, end sills, bolsters, main cross beams, cross beams and side sills. Main plates adopt Q450NQR1 high-strength weather-resistant steel approved by Document No. 387 (2003). The center sill is a box structure welded from Q450NQR1 steel plates; the end sill is of double-web structure, while bolsters and main cross beams are box structures welded from cover plates and webs. One main cross beam group and two cross beam groups are provided, with locking seats at the ends of end sills, cross beams and main cross beams. Forged center plate, striking castings and rear draft lugs are adopted.
The wagon adopts the national standard F-TR container locking device for firm and reliable container fixing during running.
The braking system consists of an air brake device and a hand brake device. The air brake device mainly comprises a DB-60 air distributing valve, an empty/loaded automatic adjustment device, brake hose couplings, an AAR integrated composite air reservoir, a 10" x 12" AAR standard brake cylinder and a DRV-2A-450 double-direction slack adjuster. Threadless cut-out cocks, angle cocks, stainless steel piping (GB/T14976) and fittings are applied. The hand brake device complies with AAR standards.
An AAR E60EE bottom-operated coupler is adopted, with material and mechanical properties meeting AAR S106. The draft gear is an AAR Mark 70E type with energy absorption of no less than 45 kJ, matched with the Y45AE cast alloy steel coupler carrier.
A 1000mm gauge cast steel three-piece bogie with 17t axle load is adopted, composed of wheelsets, bearing adapters, side frames, bolsters, springs, damping wedges and foundation brake rigging. Side frames and bolsters use B+ grade cast steel per TJ/CL158, manufactured to TB/T3012-2006 with automatic core-setting technology. Two-stage stiffness springs are fitted. The bogie adopts a 305mm diameter center plate with conductive wear liner, 5-1/2" x 10" cylindrical roller bearings, AAR Class-E axles, and HESA rolled steel wheels with LM worn tread profile or HEZD cast steel wheels per TJ/CL153. The foundation brake rigging uses austempered ductile iron bushings and composite brake beams.
The manufacturer submits inspection records of underframe dimensions and deflection, coupler tail deflection and diagonal difference of container lock heads, together with weld inspection records of the center sill and side sills, for verification by the buyer's inspector during manufacture. Testing is carried out per the technical conditions and relevant standards. The container locking device of every wagon is inspected to ensure the lock heads rotate flexibly and function properly.
As a direct manufacturer of railway freight wagons, Tieke Railway designs and produces wagons of different gauges (1000mm, 1067mm, 1435mm, 1520mm) per AAR, UIC and EN standards. For this South American project, AAR-standard components, a high-strength weathering steel structure and project-specific clearance design ensure long service life, low maintenance cost and safe operation on 1000mm gauge networks.
